Cyclist and the price of gas

With gasoline prices like these, who would you ask for tips on how to save gas? How about UPS? Would you believe that one of their tips is to make fewer left turns? Or, you could ride your bike. They didn't think of that one.
Still, it's pretty cool that they optimize their routes for that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it would be interesting to know how far out of their way they will go to avoid a left turn. I'm sure that routing software has some interesting heuristics.
